George Maniatis

George holds a B.Sc. in Statistics and Insurance Science from the University of Piraeus, a M.Sc. in Economic Policy and Applied Economics and a PhD in Economics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has worked as an economist for the General Directorate of the Hellenic Competition Commission. From July 2007, he is the Head of the Department for Sectoral Studies at IOBE. He has authored many sectoral studies with emphasis on energy markets and economic impact assessment of changes in taxation on product markets. His work has been published in academic journals (Energy Policy and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews) and in proceedings of scientific conferences.
