Irene holds a BA in Economic and Regional Development from Panteion University. She holds a Master’s in Economic Theory (Athens University of Economics and Business, AUEB) and in Data Science (American College of Greece). Fulbright Research Scholar at Columbia University (National Center for Disaster Preparedness – Climate School, 2024–2025). She is a PhD candidate in Economics (AUEB); she examines climate risk and catastrophic natural events with a focus on their impact on the insurance and financial sectors. She joined IOBE in 2022; she contributes to projects related to Green Transition and Entrepreneurship, Environmental Sustainability, Regional Development, Housing Policy, and Climate Risk in the financial system.
