In the last decade, the level of use of the Internet in Greece has risen dramatically. However, the country is still trailing in the OECD and EU rankings. This study was targeted at identifying and analyzing the critical factors that prevent the use of Internet services in Greece. Financing the Εlectricity Sector Investments during the Economic Recession

The scope of the study was to examine the impact of the economic crisis on the riskiness of electricity sector investments and to outline instruments that provide additional funding for such investments. The study analysed the availability of debt and equity funding from the banking sector and the Greek stock exchange and presented national support instruments, cross-country mechanisms and EU funding schemes. The study also contained a set of policy suggestions on reducing the investment risk in the electricity sector.

The assessment was performed using the multinational general equilibrium model GIMF.
