Productivity improvement is a key determinant of business competitiveness, wage growth, and economic prosperity. Businesses and economies that achieve systematic improvements in productivity can generate more value with the same resources or the same value with fewer resources, thereby strengthening their resilience and sustainability. The Productivity Measurement Guide, developed IOBE in collaboration with the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV), provides a practical framework for measuring productivity, based primarily on financial statement data—that is information that is easily accessible and measurable. At the same time, it describes methods for benchmarking results against other companies in the same industry in Greece and the European Union.
