Climate change is expected to significantly alter the operation of the Greek economy, affecting critical productive sectors and creating new challenges as well as opportunities for investment and innovation. The effective adaptation of the Greek economy requires targeted interventions in strategically important sectors, with emphasis on the integration of climate risk into decision-making, the monitoring of relevant indicators, and the use of appropriate financing instruments. The study aims to analyze recent developments in food price inflation in Greece. It focuses on current trends in food price inflation in Greece, considering the evolution of prices within the food supply chain. Additionally, the study assesses the impact of specific food products, such as olive oil and other unprocessed (fresh) food products, on overall price changes.
