The scope of this study is to quantify the impact on the Greek economy overall from passing the additional cost of carbon emission rights to electricity prices. The analysis is focused on branches that have been recognised by the Community acquis as exposed to the risk of “carbon leakage” induced by indirect emission costs and hence are experiencing serious deterioration of their competitiveness.
