The Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research - IOBE in cooperation with the German Institute for Economic Research - DIW Berlin and the Greek Company of Innovation and Technology - Crowdpolicy organized an online event in the framework of the project “On the Innovativeness of Micro, Small, and Medium Sized Enterprises in Greece and Germany – INNOMSME”, on Tuesday 7th December 2021.
INNOMSME (data collaboration platform for MSMEs) aims to promote small and medium enterprise innovation in Greece and Germany through the collection, analysis and utilization of business and other data. The main objective of the event is the analysis of the extension to which micro, small and medium sized enterprises in Greece and Germany are able to adopt the connection between innovation and their increasing productivity.
10:00 - 13:00 (EET) Policy Discussion | Policies supporting Innovation in Greece and Germany: current trends and challenges
Keynote speech by Dr Christos Dimas, Deputy Minister for Research, Innovation and Technology, Ministry of Development and Investments, Hellenic Republic, and Thomas Rachel, Member of the German Bundestag and Parliamentary State Secretary. A panel discussion will follow.
16:00 - 19:30 (EET) Research Workshop | Trends and challenges on innovation patterns in MSMEs
Presentation of research papers and discussion on innovation and how it links with the functioning of product markets and broader economies, digital transformation and new technology of the new era of entrepreneurship.
