Effects of structural reforms concerning sectors of tradable goods - services

Category: Structural Changes
SubCategory: -
Date: 28/06/2017

The purpose of the study is to examine the effects of reforms concerning sectors producing tradable goods and services to their technical efficiency level. The study focuses on the sectors of Production and distribution of electricity, Road freight transport, Road passenger transport, Cruises and Gambling and betting activities. The study also examines the effects on the sectoral technical efficiency of some of the so-called "horizontal" structural changes that do not relate to a specific part of domestic production but affect many of its branches, such as those on the labour market, for starting a business. The sectoral technical efficiency assessment takes into account business features, such as business age and location, as well as macroeconomic conditions (eg GDP growth rate, credit expansion / shrinkage).
